The mission of UNC’s Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program, StaySANE is:
“To provide those affected by sexual violence a safe place to receive timely, compassionate, competent care by a sexual assault nurse examiner who is proficient in medical forensic evaluation and treatment.”

The Lithios team worked with staySANE to design and develop a HIPAA-compliant web application allowing SANES to accomplish two primary goals: to efficiently track their training progression and display the location of Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.

The Challenge

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners often don’t have a place to track their progress in training, and sometimes lack access to the resources and support necessary to complete their training. StaySANE collaborated with the team at Lithios to develop a software solution for SANEs to track their progress, see other trained practitioners within the state and to open lines of communication between SANEs.

Intuitive Healthcare

The Lithios team worked with staySANE to establish branding, User Experience, and a Comprehensive User Interface, creating a sleek and intuitive application to assist staySANE in accomplishing their mission.

Why Lithios?

The Lithios team designed and developed a HIPAA-compliant web application for SANEs to keep track of their classroom and clinical training, cases, and ultimately display a map open to the public to identify where patients can seek expert medical forensic care.
